MIMCO Releases Limited Edition ‘Goddess of Fortune’Necklace for L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF) 2012

To coincide with the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival 2012 (LMFF), Australian label MIMCO has designed a lavish limited edition necklace, titled ‘Goddess of Fortune’, which is inspired by a dark and decedent goddess.

Only 50 of these opulent ‘Goddess of Fortune’ necklaces have been created and will be available for purchase on the the MIMCO website and selected MIMCO boutiques.

The multi layered piece is crafted from three separate neck pieces that can be worn together or separately, to suit any occasion the wearer desires.

Cathryn Wills, MIMCO Creative Director, is excited to be launching this very limited piece as it coincides with LMFF where the brand is holding a standalone show.

“We wanted a piece that spoke of opulence, drama and an over-the-top decadence and the idea of a goddess holding court, in a dark, secret den came to mind,”

“Jet crystal, rondelles, touches of gold and a languid tassel, combine in this dreamy statement neck adornment. We love that it goes from choker to long layered drape to sculptured bib; a goddess with multiple personalities at her best,” says Wills

This year MIMCO will host its standalone show for LMFF at Maia, Central Pier Docklands on Tuesday 13 March where it will launch its 2012 Season 1, 2012 collection, Dreamwarp Society.

Tickets to the LMFF MIMCO show are $50 and available through the MIMCO website.
